Xi congratulates Ndayishimiye on election as Burundian president

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent a congratulatory message to Evariste Ndayishimiye on his election as Burundian president.

Noting that Burundi is an all-weather friend of China in Africa, Xi said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Burundi ties, and stands ready to work with Ndayishimiye to promote China-Burundi friendly cooperative relations to a new level, so as to benefit the two countries and peoples.
