MANILA, Aug. 27 (APD) – As the Philippines paid tribute to its heroes, Ayala Foundation released its acknowledgment of ordinary heroes from different sectors featured in the latest National Anthem video.
At a launch ceremony held Monday at the historic Tutuban Center, then the Philippine National Railways hub at the heart of the city, Ayala Foundation presented the video to the members of the media a couple of days before its premiere at Ayala cinemas across the country and at all Ayala corporate events.
John Philip S. Orbeta, head of Ayala Corporation’s Corporate Resources said the new National Anthem video hours the daily work of ordinary Filipinos in building the nation, from parents, workers, civil servants and others who work with honesty and dignity for their families, communities, and country.

“It fully supports Ayala Foundation’s campaign for love of country as it seeks to recognize the extraordinary virtues among ordinary Filipinos,” Orbeta said.
The project coincides with the 185th founding anniversary of Ayala Corporation as most of the characters in the video are volunteers from the Ayala group of companies, partner communities, and institutions.
Dr. Rene R. Escalante, Chairman of the government’s National Historical Commission of the Philippines said Ayala Corporation sought their guidance and recommendations in the production of its latest National Anthem video.
“We appreciate Ayala Corporation’s efforts to recognize the extraordinary values being shown by ordinary people,” he said. He added they are supportive of the corporation’s efforts to distribute flags to schools and government offices across the archipelago.
The launch was capped with the floral offering at the monument of Andres Bonifacio, an acknowledged hero in the country’s fight for independence from the Spanish authorities in the late 1800s.
