Uber axes 3,700 jobs as pandemic hits business

Uber has announced it is to cut 3,700 jobs as the coronavirus takes its toll on the ride-hailing business.

The company also said in a stock market filing that chief executive Officer Dara Khosrowshahi will waive his base salary for the remainder of the year.
