China welcomes WTO ruling that U.S. tariffs violate intl. trade rules

China's Ministry of Commerce in a statement released on Tuesday welcomed the World Trade Organization (WTO)'s ruling that U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods violate international trade rules.

A dispute panel of the WTO ruled that the additional duties imposed by the United States on certain Chinese products are inconsistent with WTO rules, the WTO said Tuesday.
