People stood still during a two-minute siren marking Israel’s Memorial Day, which commemorates soldiers who died fighting Israel’s wars and Israeli victims of hostile attacks.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin attended a ceremony Wednesday at the National Hall for Israel’s Fallen at Mount Herzl military cemetery in Jerusalem.
