At least 14 people were killed, 35 others injured after a bus plunged down a ravine in Sabanalarga, northwestern Colombia on Sunday, AFP reported citing officials.
The bus was trying to avoid hitting a motorcycle rider and skidded off the road, according to Sabanalarga Mayor Cesar Cuadros.
It was not clear how many people were on the bus when the accident happened, but "there were a lot," said Cuadros.
Most of the survivors were sent to hospitals in nearby towns as the Sabanalarga hospital could not cope with the sudden influx of victims.
