Extreme weather kills 11 in east China's Nantong

Eleven people were killed and 102 others were injured after strong winds and thunderstorms hit Nantong City in east China's Jiangsu Province between 6 and 10 p.m. on Friday, local authorities said on Saturday.

Rescuers also evacuated 3,050 people overnight, officials said. Damaged electricity facilities have been repaired and power supply has resumed.
