California prepares for intense wildfire season

California’s governor has announced an ambitious proposal for a$2 billion investment intowildfire preparednessas part of a wider $ 100billion recovery plan.

The move comes after the state has been through one of its largest and most destructive wildfireseasonsin 2020. And this year’s fire season has already begun with over 2,400 fires amid extremely dry weather conditions.
