Thousands of Cubans take to the streets in biggest protest in decades

Cuban authoritiesare urging residents on the island to take to the streets to fight against anti-government protesters. This comes after​​thousands ofdemonstrators turned out on Sunday to protestshortagesbrought onby the country's economic crisisand the coronavirus pandemic.

They are also callingforCuban President Miguel Diaz-Canelto step down.He appeared on Cuban television​to denouncethe uprising andwhat he called a counter-revolutionary action linked to U.S. interests.
