HK liaison office supports improving city's electoral system

The Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Friday voiced firm support for improving the electoral system of HKSAR after a draft decision was submitted to China's top legislature for review.

In a statement published on Friday, the office said that "patriots governing Hong Kong" is an urgent move to maintain the security of the "One Country,Two Systems" principleand an imperative to ensure the HKSAR is governed lawfully and effectively.
