US Navy says aircraft with 11 onboard crashed in Pacific

The US Navy said on Wednesday that an aircraft with 11 people onboard has crashed in the ocean southeast of Okinawa.

The aircraft was en route to the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan.

There have been no immediate reports of casualties.

"Personnel recovery is underway and their condition will be evaluated by USS Ronald Reagan medical staff," according to a statement by the US Navy.

Search and rescue operations are underway.
