At least 12 wounded in shooting at South Carolina nightclub: report

A shooting at a South Carolina nightclub early Sunday left at least 12 people in "various conditions", AP reported, citing a sheriff's official.

A Greenville County sheriff's deputy first noticed a "disturbance" at Lavish Lounge before 2 a.m., and called for backup because of "active gunfire from inside the building," Lt. Jimmy Bolt said in a statement.

Victims at the nightclub were taken to hospitals by responding officials, AP said. It wasn't clear whether anyone was arrested under custody in relation to the shooting.
