China's ARJ21 gets largest single commercial order, leases to Indonesia

AdomesticregionalaircraftARJ21hasreceiveditslargestsinglecommercialorderatthe50thFarnboroughInternationalAirShowintheUK.

TheCommercialAircraftCorporationofChina,Ltd. (COMAC)gottheorderof90 ARJ21aircraftsonMonday.

AtripartitecooperativeagreementwassignedbyCOMAC,ChinaAircraftLeasingGroup(CALC)andFriedmannPacificAssetManagementLimited(FPAM).

CALCwillpurchase60 ARJ21-700seriesaircraftsfromCOMAC,andwillactasanaircraftlessortoprovideleasingsolutionstoanIndonesian-basedairlinecompany,whichissubordinatetoFPAM,inbuildingitsARJ-21fleet,accordingtotheagreement.

Atthesametime,AvicLeasingCompanywillalsopurchase30 ARJ21aircraftsfromCOMAC.

ThisisthelargestorderofARJ21aircraftsforCOMACsinceitscommercialoperationsonJune28thisyear.

COMACGeneralManagerHeDongfengsaidthecompanyisnowactivelyexploringthemarketbothathomeandabroad.

WhileExecutiveVicePresidentofCALCLiuWantingalsosaidtheywillworktogetherwithFPAMforARJ21'senteringintointernationalmarket.

Tillnow,thenumberofARJ21'sclientcompanieshasbeenupto18andthetotalordersofARJ21havereached308.
