5.4-magnitude quake hits 20km NW of San Pedro de Atacama, Chile -- USGS

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted 20km NW of San Pedro de Atacama, Chile at 05:23 local time (0923 GMT) on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 148.74 km, was initially determined to be at 22.7794 degrees south latitude and 68.3475 degrees west longitude.
