Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has won the South Carolina's Democratic primary on Saturday, according to exit polls. This is his first victory in the bid for the Democratic Party's 2020 presidential nomination.

According to multiple network projections, polls have showed Biden scoring a decisive win in the state.

The win in South Carolina revives hope of the 77-year-old to challenge Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination.
