China bans pork imports by German meat supplier over COVID-19 concerns

China's customs authorities have banned pork imports from German meat supplier Toennies Lebensmittel GmbH CompanyKG starting June 17 due to coronavirus concerns.

A total of 657 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus at a slaughterhouse operated by TheTönniesGroup in northwestern Germany, German authorities said on Wednesday.
