The Chinese Embassy in Hungary on Sunday voiced firm opposition and stern condemnation after certain politicians in Budapest, capital of Hungary, "made extremely erroneous remarks concerning China and China-Hungary friendly cooperation."

The comments that attack China's political system and the development path, independently chosen by the Chinese people, are "full of ideological bias and incite antagonism and hostility," the embassy's spokesperson said in a statement.

It is a "gross interference in China's internal affairs" and a "deliberate attempt to undermine the friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two peoples," the spokesperson said.
