Bus accident involving Singaporean tourists reported in N. Finland

A bus transporting Singaporean tourists went off the road in Finnish Lapland area on Thursday evening, and some of the 30-member group were taken to hospital for checkup, reports said.

The accident occurred when the bus had just crossed the border from Norway. The tourists were on their way to the resort in Kittila, a small town in northern Finland.

Newspaper Kaleva reported the driving condition was difficult due to the heavy snow fall. The bus was a Lithuanian charter bus. No further information was available.

Also in Veteli, western Finland, a buss left the road on Thursday and two people were lighly injured.
