Chinese minors show a positive attitude when asked the role of the Internet, according to the latest report on Internet use among minors in 2019.

The report, jointly issued by the Chinese Communist Youth League Central Committee and the China Internet Network Information Center, was based on a survey of 34,661 students from primary, middle and secondary vocational schools across the country.

It finds that about 67 percent of the respondents consider the Internet a channel to understand the world, while 66 percent study with the help of the Internet.

For minors, the Internet is also taken as a platform for entertainment and relaxation, a tool in daily life and a place to make friends and express themselves, said the report.
