China will accelerate the construction of new infrastructure such as the information networks, and promote industrial and consumption upgrading, according to an executive meeting of the State Council Tuesday.
The meeting, presided over by Premier Li Keqiang, noted that the country will guide related parties to build the industrial internet, meet the needs of digital consumption, and deepen international cooperation in relevant areas.
The meeting also heard a report on suggestions from deputies to the National People's Congress and proposals from members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, as well as their role in promoting sound and democratic decision-making and enhancing the efficiency of the government's governance.
