China to promote digitalization in tax system

The Chinese government vows to promote digitalization and intelligent upgrade in tax collection and management systems.

The country will further develop smart taxation and steadily implement the reform of electronic invoices, read an official document jointly issued by the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council.

The document said China would embrace blockchain technology in the collection of social insurance and improve the taxation big data cloud platform.
