India's aggressive intentions against its neighbors are a threat to peace in the region while the extremist sentiments of the Indian leadership, largely due to the chaos and disturbances created within India itself, are destabilizing and weakening India with each passing day.

One of the reasons is the fall of their economic indicators during Narendra Modi’ government which came to power in the name of ‘Shining India’to pursue its extremist ambitions --- confusing neighboring countries as well as the international community to divert attention from its internal scenario.

This growing confusion and uncertainty being created by India along with its stubborn attitude towards its neighbors particularly the Line of Control in the disputed Jammu and Kashmir reflects that by keeping the Line of Control warm, India is trying to divert the world's focus from the oppression and state terrorism against the innocent Kashmiris at the hands of its forces in the occupied valley.

Since the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status on August 5 last year, nearly one million occupation troops are engaged in the worst kind of human rights violations making the lives of the local population more miserable that have shaken the world.

Former Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon, while expressing his mind whether these moves would affect India's foreign policy, had stated, "In diplomacy, you don't have to tell the truth. So, the calculation of the countries would be how they can promote their interests. They will not fight for your human rights. So, we have given them a platform to use, a lever, to pressure us to get what they want. This, I think, was unnecessary and a self-inflicted goal".

He further had said the government's amendment to the Citizenship Act was a "self-inflicted goal" which has "isolated" India and resulted in the country being bracketed as an "intolerant" state. "India has isolated itself through the move and the list of critical voices in the international community is also pretty long now. Perception of India has changed in the last few months. Even our friends have been taken aback."

What is happening is quite another scenario. India is increasingly being isolated having no international support apart from a section of India. Menon also referred to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's cancellation of a scheduled meeting with a US congressional delegation over the presence of Indian American Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, who has been critical of the Indian government.

It may also be noted that several world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and chiefs of UN bodies on human rights and refugees, were critical of the recent Indian moves which are contrary to international conventions on human rights, civil and political rights as well as economic, social and cultural rights.

It has led to three times in a year, at the level of the Security Council, expressing concern over Jammu and Kashmir and the situation created here, India has had to go on the defensive, especially the Government of Pakistan’s efforts have given burning issue of Jammu and Kashmir a global status.

Besides there are more than 67 active separatist movements in different Indian states including Punjab, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Bangal, Chattisgarh, Orrisa, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and list goes on who want freedom from India.

Meanwhile, expressing concern that India now seems to be in violation of international covenants, Director General of Inter Services Public Relations Maj. Gen. Babar Iftikhar says, "Those who think that international laws cannot be enforced, they must consider political and other consequences of being perceived as violators of international conventions."

On the other hand, unlike Pakistan's positive role in the Afghan peace process that has been appreciated by regional forces, including China and Russia, India has not been able to digest Pakistan’s effective role in the region but has been using Afghan territory for its nefarious purposes.

In fact, the madness on the part of Modi government to propagate and implement the RSS agenda of Hindu supremacy has exposed India among the international community and the minorities including Muslims have been bearing the brunt of Indian oppression while the restlessness in several parts of India cannot be overlooked as the secular status of the world’s largest democracy has already been eroded.
