Cruise ships used as accomodation for migrant workers recovered from COVID-19 infection in Singapore

SINGAPORE, May 24 (Xinhua) -- SuperStar Gemini cruise ship together with SuperStar Aquarius cruise ship, are used as temporary dormitory for migrant workers who have recovered from COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 642 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 31,068.

Singapore has been hit by a second wave of infections, with the outbreak's epicentre being dorms that house tens of thousands of migrants.

Thegovernment has responded comprehensively to contain the COVID-19 spread in the dorms, and to protect the foreign workers with an interagency task force set up to handle the situation in the dorms.
