At least 19 people were killed after a bus collided with a train at Pokrov station in the Vladimir Oblast region of Russia on Friday, according to the regional interior ministry.

There were 56 people on the bus, most of whom were from Uzbekistan, when the accident occurred at around 3:39 a.m. Moscow time (0039 GMT) at a railway crossing in the Petushinsky district.

According to the head of the regional interior ministry, 15 people were injured, including two children.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
