Over 90,000 COVID-19 cases reported in Spain

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 passed the 90,000 mark on Tuesday, with the Spanish Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Services reporting a total of 94,417 cases -- an increase of 9,222 on a daily basis -- in its daily report.

The number of deaths in the country crossed the 8,000 mark, with 8,189 people now confirmed as victims of the disease after reporting a record of 849 deaths in a 24-hour period.
