M7.1 earthquake strikes off Fukushima, Japan

A magnitude-7.1 earthquake struck off Japan's Fukushima Prefecture at 11:08 p.m. local time (1408 GMT) on Saturday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 60 kilometres, the agency said, adding that a tsunami warning had not been issued.

Tremors were also felt in Tokyo, according to CGTN reporter in Japan.
