MANILA, Aug. 30 (APD) – Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on his fifth visit to the People’s Republic of China witnessed the signing of six agreements with President Xi Jinping after their bilateral meeting on Thuesday night.
According to the Presidential Communications Operations Office-Global Media, the agreements include the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Higher Education Cooperation between the Commission on Higher Education (CHED/Philippines) and the Ministry of Education (China).
A Memorandum of Understanding on Science and Technology Cooperation between the Department of Science and Technology (DOST/Philippines) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (China).
A Cooperative Agreement between the Bureau of Customs, the Department of Finance, both of the Philippines and the General Administration of Customs (China) on the implementation of the Intergovernmental Agreement Regarding Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Matters.
The Philippines and China had an exchange of Notes on Cooperation Procedure for the Availment and Utilization of Concessional Loan Facility between the Department of Finance (Philippines) and China International Development Cooperation Agency.
The PCOO Global Media also reported the signing of the Preferential Buyer’s Credit Loan Agreement of Project Management Consultancy of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) South Long Haul Project between the Department of Finance (Philippines) and the Export-Import Bank of China.
