Japan's core inflation unchanged at 3.1% in March

Japan's consumer price index (CPI), which excludes volatile fresh food prices, rose 3.1 percent in March, matching last month's figure, according to the data released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on Friday.

The average core CPI in the fiscal year 2022 hit 3.0 percent, the highest level in 41 years, data showed on Friday.
