The sole newly confirmed case of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in central China's Wuhan on Tuesday was from a fever clinic, the city's health commission said.
The patient was a vegetable market manager from Jianghan District. The commission inferred that the source of infection was from market exposure or contact with people in the market.
The fever clinics in Wuhan received a total of 630 patients from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday, 32 more than the previous 24 hours.
The city also conducted nucleic acid testing for 12,663 people on Tuesday.
Hubei Province, where Wuhan is the capital, reported one new confirmed case and 11 deaths Tuesday.
