Syrian air defenses respond to Israeli missile attack on Palmyra

The Syrian air defenses on Monday evening responded to an Israeli missile attack on the country's central city of Palmyra, the state TV reported.

A number of missiles were intercepted before reaching their targets, the state TV said.

The exact target is not yet revealed.

Israel has carried out several missile attacks during the Syrian war against what it claims are the Iranian positions in the country.
