Iran announces suspension of all sports events for 10 days

Iran will suspend all the sports events in the country for 10 days over the outbreak of new coronavirus, also named COVID-19, official IRNA news agency reported on Saturday.

From February 24, all the sports activities and events, including the soccer matches, will be stopped for 10 days, the headquarters said in a statement.

Since Wednesday when Iran announced the earlier cases of COVID-19 infection in the country, 29 Iranians have been confirmed infected by the virus, out of which six have died.
