Chinese President Xi Jinping inspects Yangzhou in east China's Jiangsu

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday inspected Yangzhou City, east China's Jiangsu Province.

Yangzhou City is the second leg of President Xi's inspection tour in Jiangsu after his visit to Nantong City on Thursday.

In Yangzhou, Xi visited an ecological cultural park and Jiangdu water conservancy project to learn about local efforts in environmental improvement, cultural protection and inheritance.

President Xi also learned about the planning and construction of the eastern route of China's south-to-north water diversion project, as well as the operation of the Jiangdu water conservancy project.
