The Fagradalsfjall volcano near the Icelandic capital Reykjavik erupted Friday, the Icelandic Meteorological Office said.
A red cloud lit up the night sky, and a no fly zone was established in the area, as lava and hot ash spewed from Mount Fagradalsfjall, about 20 miles southwest of the capital.
