China's top legislature starts annual session

The 13th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, opened its third session Friday morning at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang was about to deliver a government work report at the opening meeting.

This year's NPC annual session was postponed over two months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 13th NPC has 2,957 deputies.
