Disaster action film 'The Rescue' continues to lead Chinese box office

Chinese disaster action blockbuster The Rescue continued to top the Chinese box office chart with a daily box office of 62.7 million yuan (about 9.57 million U.S. dollars) on Sunday, according to data from the China Movie Data Information Network.

It was followed by the American comic adaptation Wonder Woman 1984, which bagged 30.63 million yuan Sunday, its third day of release.

Coming in third to fifth were domestic comedy Bath Buddy, American-made animated film The Croods: A New Age and Japanese animation Doraemon: Nobita's New Dinosaur.
