Coaches collide in Vietnam, killing 6, injuring 10

Two coaches made a head-on collision early on Monday in Vietnam's southern Tay Ninh province, killing six local people instantly and injuring 10 others.

A 16-seat coach crashed into a 35-seat coach in Duong Minh Chau district, and the injured people were hospitalized in Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, the provincial police said.

All the people in the smaller coach are from southern An Giang province and they were on the way to a pagoda in Tay Ninh when the accidents happened.

Between January and September, 14,352 traffic accidents occurred in Vietnam, killing 6,122 people, severely injuring 3,489 people and lightly hurting 8,270 others, the country's Traffic Police Department said.
