For the first time, the Consulate General of Israel in Hong Kong will take part in the Hong Kong Book Fair, to be held from July 16 to 22 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, said the spokesperson of the Consulate General on Monday.

"We will showcase Hebrew literature from Israel and have selected about 100 titles, old and new, by Israeli writers in their English and Chinese translations," said Ernie Yuen, spokesperson and head of public relations department of Israeli Consulate General in Hong Kong.

The fair will display about 100 books by Israeli writers from different periods of time, in the categories of art, business, children book, fiction, history, literature periodicals, picture books, short stories and travel. They are in English, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese translations, and most of them can be bought at local bookstores or online, said Yuen.
