"Captain America: Civil War" tops box office for second weekend

Disney's "Captain America: Civil War" was on track for a second huge weekend, and 3D live animated film "The Jungle Book" also did strong business at its fifth weekend as the Walt Disney Company seized the top spots at this weekend's box office.

The superhero sequel, from Disney's Marvel Comics franchise, was on track to sell 72.6 million U.S. dollars in tickets this weekend in the United States and Canada. That marks a 60 percent drop from last week's opening day.

"Captain America: Civil War" has total domestic sales over 10 days about 295.9 million dollars and it has grossed up to 941 million dollars in globally, according to industry box office tracker comScore.

The live action remake of "The Jungle Book" has been on the screen for five weeks, and still was going to have 17.8 million dollars in this three day weekend, good enough for second place. Its global sales were projected at 828 million dollars.

Two new movies debuted in the third and fourth positions. "Money Master" -- a suspense drama starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts and directed by Jodie Foster -- premiered in third place at 3,104 locations with 15 million dollars this weekend.

A low-budget horror film from Sony called "The Darkness" opened in the fourth place at 1,755 locations with 5.2 million dollars.

Another Julia Roberts movie, "Mother's Day," rounded out the top five with 3.3 million dollars in projected sales.

The rest 5 out of the ten most popular films in the United States and Canada this weekend were "Zootopia" (2.8 million dollars), "The Huntsman: Winter's War" (2.6 million), "Keanu" (1. 9 million), "Barbershop: The Next Cut" (1.7 million) and "The Boss"(1.8 million).
