Severe flooding hits São Paulo, Brazil

The city of Guaruja, Brazil in São Paulo state, has been hit hardest by torrential rains and flooding.

A storm hit southeastern Brazil on Tuesday, causing flooding and landslides.

At least 23 people are dead, according to the BBC.

Some parts of Rio de Janeiro also flooded on Sunday and Monday.

The AP reports, more than 5,000 people have been forced from their homes, according to state authorities.
