Minneapolis looks to future of policing after Chauvin verdict

Last month, former police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of second- and third-degree murder​forthe death of George Floyd,​as well as second-degree manslaughter.

That outcomeprompted the U.S. Justice Department to launch an investigation into the practices of theMinneapolis Police Department.

That spotlight on policing in the city is largely welcomed by civil rights groups.
