China's efforts, progress in biodiversity conservation

Today marks the International Day for Biological Diversity. In recent years, China has seen a steady rise in populations of rare and endangered animal species as well as improved biodiversity and ecological environment, thanks to efforts including building national parks, nature reserves and coastal wetlands.
