French national suspect of Jewish museum shooting in Brussels, on Thursday reiterated his refusal to be extradited to Belgium, according to local reports.

In a second appearance in a court hearing in Versailles, Mehdi Nemmouche, refused again to leave France.

"We would like him to be judged under French jurisdiction. Nothing today proves that Mehdi Nemmouche is the culprit," defense lawyer Apolin Pepiezep told iTele news channel.

At the lawyer's request "to well prepare (defense) arguments," French court postponed a hearing on the review on European arrest warrant issued by Belgium against Nemmouche to June 12.

Last Friday, French customs arrested the 29-year-old suspect in the southern city of Marseille. He had a Kalashnikov rifle and another gun with him similar to those used in the May 24 shooting which left four dead.

Nemmouche, who joined Islamist fighters in Syria in 2013, has been in custody over allegations of murder, attempted murder, possession of weapons and carrying a terrorist activity, according to Paris prosecutor.
