Chinese mother helps son with ALS pursue college dream

Yang Dalian, 48, is a villager in southwest China's Guizhou Province. Every noon, she goes to her son's classroom and takes him back for lunch in a wheelchair.

Yang's son Yao Wen is a senior high student at Yuping County Ethnic High School. Suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Yao is unable to mover around on his own.

Though life is hard, Yang is determined to accompany her son to fulfill his college dream.
