Biden declares emergency in California over Caldor fire

U.S. President Joe Biden has declared an emergency in the state of California to battle the wildfire that began in mid-August, the White House said on Wednesday.

Biden's action authorizes the rollout of disaster relief measures by the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the White House added.
