Chinese mainland reports 9 new COVID-19 cases, all from overseas

The Chinese mainland recorded nine new COVID-19 cases on Monday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Tuesday.

No deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Monday, the NHC said.

Fourteen new asymptomatic cases from overseas were also recorded on Monday, and 237 asymptomatic patients, all from overseas, are under medical observation.

This brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 90,115, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,397 (10,901 recoveries, 203 deaths)

Macao: 48 (47 recoveries)

Taiwan: 1,006 (963 recoveries, 10 deaths)
