The French Superior Audiovisual Council (CSA) replied to China Global Television Network (CGTN) on March 4, confirming that CGTN falls under its jurisdiction. According to the EU's Audiovisual Media Services Directive and the European Convention on Transfrontier Television (ECTT), CGTN is allowed to continue airing programs in EU member states (and member states of the European Economic Area Agreement) as well as the contracting parties of the ECTT.

CGTN welcomes and appreciates CSA's confirmation that CGTN falls under France's jurisdiction regarding its right to broadcast in Europe.

As an international media organization with an excellent reputation worldwide for professionalism, CGTN will continue its mission to present information to the global audience from diverse perspectives in accordance with its principles of objectivity, rationality and impartiality.

CGTN will continue to abide by French laws, actively cooperate with CSA, comply with CSA's regulations, and contribute to promoting understanding, communication, trust and cooperation between the peoples of China and France, and between China and the world.
