Putin, Abbas discuss bilateral cooperation, Middle East



MOSCOW, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed cooperation between the two countries and the situation in the Middle East during a phone conversation on Tuesday.

The leaders exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian fields, particularly the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, according to a Kremlin press release.

They also discussed the problems of the Middle East settlement, and Putin reaffirmed Russia's readiness to continue to help achieve a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Enditem
