China's southern boomtown of Shenzhen has resumed all subway construction as the novel coronavirus epidemic levels off, according to the subway operator.

By the end of March, over 57,600 people have participated in the construction of 14 subway lines, according to Shenzhen Metro Group Co., Ltd.

Currently, the number of subway management staff and construction workers in Shenzhen has surpassed the level in December last year, the company said.

Shenzhen is expected to see six new subway lines start operation this year, adding 96.07 km to its total mileage, which is expected to surpass 400 km this year.
