David Beckham has stressed that England will not have any easy games at the World Cup despite a seemingly kind draw for Russia 2018.

The former England captain and British television personality Rachel Riley were among guests of the star-studded Grassroot Soccer charity gala on Friday evening in London.

The event was an opportunity for the football star to comment on Friday's World Cup draw held in Moscow. The Three Lions will face Belgium, Tunisia and Panama in Group G of the competition, with Gareth Southgate's side first facing The Eagles of Carthage on June 18.

"It's a good draw. I think at this stage it doesn't matter, you know, I know it sounds cliché but there are no easy games at this stage," said Beckham.

"They're all tough games, so I think it's a good draw but it will be tough."

Although Tunisia and Panama sit 27th and 56th in the FIFA world rankings, Beckham insists that all three opponents in the group must be treated with respect.

The World Cup begins with hosts Russia playing Saudi Arabia in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on June 14.
