Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has decided to appoint Yoichi Miyazawa as trade minister to replace Yuko Obuchi who quitted from the post early Monday, reported Japan's NHK.

Abe also decided to name Yoko Kamikawa as justice minister to replace Midori Matsushima who also resigned Monday, said the report.

Obuchi and Mastushima, who stepped down due to political funds scandal, took their posts as cabinet ministers in early September when Abe reshuffled his cabinet.

Abe said that the appointments of the two resigned ministers were his responsibilities and the issue will be a trigger for Japan's opposition party to grill Abe in Diet sessions.
